Maji Moto, locally known as Kikuletwa Hot Springs, is a stunning oasis nestled in the Tanzanian savannah. Located just a 2-hour drive from Arusha, Chemka Hot Springs is the perfect retreat to unwind after a Kilimanjaro hike or a safari adventure.

Chemka Oasis is a rare natural wonder, likely the only place in Tanzania—and possibly all of East Africa—where groundwater meets geothermal sources to create a series of small, warm lakes with continuously flowing water. The crystal-clear purity of these lakes rivals that of the finest resorts in the Dominican Republic or the Maldives.

DAY 1 TRIP TO CHEMKA HOTSPRINGS

Early in the morning, We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Arusha for a scenic 2-hour long drive to the Chemka Hot Springs. Once you reach the hotsprings, you can take a dip in the natural pool, The water in the hot springs is warm and refreshing, making it essential to bring a swimsuit for a full and enjoyable experience. 

In the afternoon, we’ll provide you with a bottle of water. Enjoy your picnic  or lunch box in the shade of the trees, or if you prefer the sun you can find a sunny spot to relax in.

In the late afternoon, we will return to Arusha
